Tailored logistic solution ideal for the mobility, reach, and handling of aircraft parts.
Jet Aircraft Services – JAS was established in 2000 with the aim of providing excellent aircraft maintenance service in terms of quality and efficiency.
JAS aimed to be a recognized provider of aircraft maintenance, being the best choice for major operators, airlines, and end customers for their temporary subcontracting needs.
Since then, JAS has maintained continuous growth to become one of the benchmark companies in aircraft maintenance both in Spain and abroad.
JAS is also a recognized leader in the field of aircraft recycling, having accumulated extensive experience in dismantling and disassembling aircraft, complying with the strictest environmental standards and aviation regulatory compliance.
To carry out these recycling tasks, the JAS team required a lifting platform to reach all parts of the aircraft and a forklift to move all extracted elements. At Orbel, we offer rental of our Manitou equipment that met their specifications and we delivered it almost immediately.
The articulated platform delivered was a Manitou 160 ATJ, which is best suited for their outdoor work. With a capacity of 230 kg, an articulation height of 7.38 m, and a working height of 16 m, it provides the operator with a large working area while ensuring operator comfort thanks to its hydraulic technology that reduces noise levels and consumption.
The other equipment, the Manitou MI 30 D, is a forklift truck characterized by simplicity, comfort, reliability, and productivity. Robust and resistant due to the rigorous selection of components and a simplified design, it is an easy-to-maintain model that will undoubtedly provide excellent service to JAS.
As safety is one of the pillars of JAS, a course was conducted by Autoescuela Industrial. Autoescuela Industrial is a training center certified by AENOR and IPAF, from which courses in risk prevention, logistics, machinery handling, and soon robotics are offered.
The client requested that the course be conducted “in company,” meaning at their own facilities, so that the practical part of the training would be as realistic as possible. The operators received training in handling and risk prevention using the equipment they would be working with, and practical examples were carried out simulating real work operations.
